Painting Cars,Long post, with pictures

After I have decided on a paint scheme I first strip the decals and using a Q tip and paper towel, wipe of any residual glue from the decals. Next you will want to go to the sink and grab some dish soap and clean your body, dry thoroughly.
Then comes Painters Blue tape for the Windows, cut into small strips, it will stretch around corners, then fill in the blanks, press down well.If you want to mask the tailpipes and rear end now's the time, one piece wrap usually works.
I use Testors Model Master  paint almost exclusively, Tamiya works fine, and has some great color matches, whatever works for you.
1. I prime with  MM Panzer Grey, kinda dark, but covers well, allow to dry in Sun if you can.
2.Mist coat, wait 2 minutes, mist coat, wait 5 minutes, mist coat, dry in Sun with ventilation (a breeze works).
By this time you will see where you need to fill paint voids, recesses, etc. so,
3. Filler coat from the Top down, dry as above.
4. Important! Filler coat from Bottom up, as in, Flip the body over and shoot the whole thing, this makes a big difference.
5. Testors MM #28139 Ultra Gloss Clearcoat over everything, including the windshield, 2x if needed.
6. Decalage, I use decals from teresawulf on Ebay, good stuff, lot's of choice, quality.
7.After decals are dry use Testors MM #9200 Decal Bonder to finish.
You can use Clearcoat if your bonder doesn't look cool but otherwise that's how it's done, let's look, shall we?
